With so many celebrities coming on stage to present and to introduce new games that game publishers had up their sleeves... it is no wonder that the gaming industry is becoming the next big thing after 'Hollywood' (not 'Bollywood'... ^^). From the legendary singer (yes... I'm saying Stevie Wonder)... to the multiple X-Games champion, Tony Hawk (not to add any insult to the game he's helped shape... I mean... Tony Hawk Ride for the Play Station 3... but it was kind of a letdown)... to the most kick*** Jedi in Star Wars... yes... that's Samuel L. Jackson... and to the crazy Nacho Libre... Jack Black.

Besides that, Hollywood is turning to the gaming industry for more ideas for their movies... like Resident Evil (which I think is totally different from the game itself... also the movie was a bit of a letdown if you ask me), Tekken, D.O.A (the typical game where the guys would love to play so willingly... for what kind of reason you should all know by now... ^^) just to name a few. There are also people who are becoming overnight celebrities just by being the voice over for a game... like the voice behind Nathan Drake (well I guess he could be the next Don LaFontaine... ^^).

If one is not sensitive enough... one might say that the gaming industry is still the same as the 1990s. However, with so many celebrities coming forward to lend their voices and even their faces (in some cases like Green Day... creating a 'Green Day:Rock Band' game... gosh... I wonder if I can ever keep up with the tempo of 'American Idiot'), it is safe to say that the gaming industry is getting bigger and more profitable. The gaming industry of today is nothing like the gaming industry during the 1990s... where all we see are pixels and blocks... it has evolved.

Games featuring celebrities are also a hit with game publishers... games like 'Tiger Woods PGA Tour' which features the golf legend himself (not so sure if Tiger Woods is still 'The Legend' today... after the recent events... go figure) is giving gamers the opportunity to 'BE' him (well... in virtual reality anyways).

Peace Out ~~
