Game unites people from all over the world... irregardless of their race, religion, age, political views or nation. This is the second time we have witness that games brings people together.
The first... was in the year 2010. A brave father-to-be gave up his life to protect his wife and their unborn child in an accident which claimed his life. Brian Wood... who spend years entertaining hundreds and thousands of faceless gamer throughout the whole worlds... prove to be a hero himself in this sad and unfortunate accident. As word spreads through the Internet... a memorial trust was set up by gamers to help his bereaved widow, Erin Wood and ultimately, their unborn child.
Words of encouragement and prayers sent by gamers to the grieving widow... was a prove that games DOES unite people. Even Erin Wood was surprise with all the kind gestures offered by the gamers.
In year 2011... when Japan was struck by the massive 9.0 magnitude earthquake which sent giant tsunami waves (it was reportedly to be around 47 feet) and swept the shores of the 'Land of the Rising Sun'... once again... the gaming community bonded together.
It is time for gamers to unite together again and give back to Japan... as they are the one who gives us a character to familiarized with during the childhod times. Even if we are all born years apart... ask any person on the street if they have ever heard of our all time favorite plumber, Mario? Even our beloved yellow guy called Pac-Man... all this came from Japan.
For the countless entertainment and character that all of us grew up with... it is time for us to give back to Japan.
Peace Out ~~
