Sometimes... human takes everything they have for granted. Never thought of anything else but they themselves... rarely they would think anything else. We keep on walking forward... ignoring the small little things around us... our parents, our neighbour next door... etc. With the fast pace of life nowadays, our quality time with our friends and family have been cut short. Even a short break from work and chit chatting with your colleague will result a sharp stare from your immediate managers or bosses.
Recently, I was contact by my ex-schoolmate brother via Facebook informing me... that my classmate for 4 years has passed on. This news came as a surprise to me as his brother pass away around early February 2010 and I just got to know 7 months after that.
Raymond See... my classmate since Form 4 and also the class monitor. He was a quiet person and the hardworking type. He is also a person that never gives up... no matter how hard and high the obstacles is in front of him. Most of the classmates on Form 6 remembers him for his smile. When all of us parted our ways to pursue our tertiary education... Facebook was the only was to keep in touch.
Some of us still keep in contact. But soon after graduation... work and stress caught up with us. Time spent with friends was getting lesser and lesser. Moreover, some of us are married or working at distance places... getting together seems to be impossible anymore. Our yearly get together during Chinese New Year is getting smaller in numbers.
Does life is really this way? Keep on moving forward... missing all the little small things that makes us happy? Things we know now... things we are familiar with... the people we see today... might not be there tomorrow.
This is a short tribute to my dear friend, Raymond See... and to his family we feel your loss as Raymond was a great friend to us. To Cass... his fiancée... stay strong and take good care of yourself. To Raymond... the time we spend soldiering and taking challenges together... our cold, sweat, blood and tears during our SPM and STPM... will be forever be etched in our minds.
To all my friends and readers who is reading this post... take some time off from your busy schedule... spend some time with your family and friends... life is short... so make the most out of it.
Peace Out ~~
